About Origin
Origin is a project-focused enterprise agent engineering and transformation company. We help organisations deploy enterprise AI, engineer the context and data that agents need, build the business applications that carry the work, connect enterprise systems, and transform operational workflows into practical, testable solutions.
An engineering company that works on enterprise AI problems
We are not a chatbot company, a prompt agency, a generic outsourcing shop, the reseller of a single product, or a management consultancy that stops at a recommendation. We are engineers who take enterprise AI problems through to working systems — and who are explicit about the parts of the work that are hard.
The work is project-based. We are engaged on a defined piece of work with a defined outcome, we deliver it, and we leave the system with the team that can maintain it. That last part is not a courtesy in our model; it is the point.
Built on open foundations, partnered openly
We maintain our own open-source foundation and we work on established open-source foundations and partner platforms alongside it, extending whichever is right for a client requirement. Most of what makes an enterprise agent work is engineering that sits above the platform, not a new platform underneath it.
We work with a substantial partner ecosystem — systems integrators, consultancies, workforce transformation practices, and regional specialists — because the work spans more than one discipline and pretending otherwise helps nobody.
Five positions we hold, and defend in the work
An agent is only as useful as its context, permissions and execution environment
This is the organising idea of the company and of this site. A general model will answer a question about your business using whatever it believes about businesses like yours. The gap between that and a decision you can defend is closed by engineering, not by a better prompt.
Specific beats general
A narrow agent that does one thing correctly, with evidence and a control, is worth more than a broad one that does everything plausibly. Most of our engagements start narrow on purpose.
Consequential actions need a human, and the control has to be in the architecture
An instruction in a prompt is not a control. If the agent can act, the permission model, the approval path and the audit trail are part of the engineering, not a policy document attached afterwards.
Reconciliation before intelligence
Before an agent reasons over data, someone has to know whether the data agrees with itself. Contradictory records do not produce an error; they produce a confident answer that nobody catches.
Adoption is engineering, not communication
If the process, the roles and the decision rights have not changed, a technically perfect agent becomes another system nobody opens. That work is designed and measured like any other part of the engagement.
The same discipline we apply to our own site
We hold ourselves to the same standard we would ask of a vendor. This page deliberately contains none of the following, because we cannot evidence them.
| Not claimed | Why |
|---|---|
| Named customer references | We do not publish a customer name, logo, metric or reference without that customer's explicit agreement. Where an implementation can be walked through under NDA, we say so instead. |
| ROI figures, percentages and benchmark results | We have not measured these against your data, and a number on a marketing page that nobody can reproduce is worse than no number. |
| Vendor authorisations and certifications | Where a partner status exists it is stated specifically and only where we can evidence it. We do not imply authorisation we have not been granted, and we do not carry a third party's certification across to a page it was not issued for. |
| Offices, headcount and geographic presence | We work internationally and remote-first. Rather than describe a presence we cannot evidence, we describe how we work with you. |
| Named staff, biographies and credentials | Profiles are not the point, and invented ones are a liability. We would rather introduce you to the people who would actually do the work. |
| Security guarantees and certifications | Security posture is a property of the deployment you choose, in the environment you choose. We will state the constraints and design to them, and we will not claim a certification for a system we do not operate. |
| Unverified product features | Where a capability is not available in the deployment mode you are permitted to use, we say so rather than describing the brochure. |
Working with us
Engagements start with a conversation about a specific decision or workflow that is not working, and what would have to be true for an agent to be allowed to make it. From there we scope a piece of work, agree how it will be judged, and deliver it with the team able to own the result.
We work with clients directly and alongside their existing partners. Where a partner is better placed than us for part of the scope, we say so and we work with them.
Partnerships
We maintain a partner ecosystem across systems integration, consulting, workforce transformation, implementation and regional specialism. The model is deliberately practical: responsibilities, commercial terms and any exclusivity are agreed per partnership rather than imposed from a standard contract.
Start with a specific problem
The most useful first conversation is about a decision, workflow or constraint that is not working today — and what would have to be true for an agent to be allowed to make it.
